Affiliate Marketing?
I’m just signed up for an affiliating marketing program. I was wondering if anyone out there has had any experience with this type of business. Is this a good business? I would like to hear the good as well as the bad. Maybe some good advice on some niches to foucus on. Any tips would be great. I’ve tried some home business opportunities before but they all were scams. I really want to succeed with this. Thanks to all.

You could focus your niche on things people really want, not what they need because not many people buy what they need they buy what they desire!
You could go to ebay and check the ebay pulse section and find out what people are searching for and buying the most,and then drill down into that niche so that you are not competing in a general niche where thousands of other people are promoting their stuff.
The Lycos top 50 is also another good source to find out what is being searched for the most.
When you find a hot niche you will need to milk it for all it’s worth! which means setting up a website with articles on the niche you have chosen,plus the affiliate products you want to promote on there as well.you could also set up an autoresponder so that you can catch peoples email address so that you can carry on selling to them even when they have left your site.
You will also need to write some unique articles based on highly searched for keywords that have low competion anything under 50,000 competing pages should be fine,submit them to ezine articles and include your link to your website in your authors resource box,try to write at least one article per day.
if you do not want to pay for a website then you can easily set up a free blog with either blogger or wordpress.
remenber to update it daily.
another way to get traffic to your site or blog is to set up a squidoo page on a specific subject in your niche and link it back to your site or blog.
There is a lot more than this to it but if you take it step by step and continue to build around your niche then over time you will start to see the money coming in.

Welcome to the wide world of affiliate and internet marketing my friend!
Internet Marketing is how I will be making my full time income. I am very experienced with it and have been doing it for many months now.
It is entirely possible to make a full time income doing it… however… there is a VERY BIG learning curve. If you do not know what you are doing, you will be taken advantage of, scammed, and you will do nothing but lose money.
Actually, I’ve started a blog where I outline everything I do in the world of internet marketing from start up to profit. I’m still in start up (this is as it happens) so you can skip buying scams out there and read exactly what I do! That’s what I would suggest at least. You can read what it is in the source box if your interested.

You really can do it if you try! And remember… if it’s too good to be true.. it is!

P.S. Stay out of the internet marketing niche when you begin. It’s wayyyy to competitive. That’s a tip that took me a while to actually act on haha.

Cashcrate is a great website to earn money, especially if you gain referrals.I earn about 500 dollars a month from referrals(people that sigh up under you).If you don’t believe me just copy and paste url and it will be all the proof u need if you want to learn how to make money .

note: Im 16 years old making 500 a month from internet basically doing nothing, You can do the same if you sign up and get people to sign up under you. please give it a try.

you can make money online as a writer at many sites. you write articles on any topic you wish, then you submit it and get paid either per article or per views. If you have an adsense account with google then I highly recommend checking out http://ketiva.com as it allows you to put your own ad code directly on your articles so in turn you make money directly with adsense (google) without having to worry if you get paid or not.

If you think you are going to make money in affiliate marketing, thousands of people have found the opposite.

If you work several hours a day, six days a week, you may make a few hundre dollars a monrh , but even that’s not guaranteed. If I was looking to make money in affiliate marketing, I would hire my own employees to do it. Better yet, I would “hire” people who want to make fortunes in on-line marketing.

NO, this is MLM at its worst. You will not make money posting links yourself. You make money getting others to do the work for you. They’re called your downstream, and it takes a LOT of time and effort to make enough money to make any real money for yourself. And you can’t do it with an investment of $ 200.00 and then watch the money come rolling it.

MLM is not about selling a product or service. It’s about getting other people to sell your products or services for a fraction I would of what I would have to pay my own employees.

Forget about the Ferrari and the mountain chalet. Thinks about the Fiat (high mileage and heavy maintainence and thnik about a deapidated cabin.

Some of the above answers may tell you that it’s not possible. But that is simply because affiliate marketing isn’t a get rich quick scheme and it takes time to get the full understanding of what you need to do. There is a lot that goes into affiliate marketing and it’s not as easy as push a button and have a million dollars.

It takes a marketer’s mindset here to make money.

It takes everything from strategizing, planning, understanding, researching, and taking action.

The most effective methods that I use are article marketing, email marketing, social networking, bookmarking, and creating your own review site.

Each of these needs a plan and a strategy to get it to work. You can’t hop into anything expecting it just to work unless you know the basics. You can find a lot of free material all over the Internet by looking for them on Google.

There’s also another way to learn affiliate marketing. You can get a coach or a mentor or you can buy an affiliate training program. Sure, there’s a lot of these programs that you may have seen and they don’t work. But, there are some legitimate ones. Two of which I have used before and have had a lot of success with.

One isn’t an affiliate marketing guide, it’s a different type of marketing called CPA marketing that allows you to make money without making sales by having others fill out a form of information that could be as simple as an email or zip code to enter into a sweep stakes and you can get paid for it. That will be the first link I put in the source box. It’s called Zero Friction Marketing.

The second one is an all out affiliate marketing strategy that will teach you everything from beginning to end and it comes in a video format so that you can follow everything you learn and copy it exactly. This one is my recommendation if you really want to get into affiliate marketing.
