How do you know if a forum has a “no follow” for backlinks / link building? SEO?
Thats it. Im performing SEO for my new site! How do I know if the forums allow backlinks (all do I know) but how do you know if you get credit for ranking? is there a firefox ad on or a site I can check before I start (potentially wasting my time) back linking?

Suggestion by Merlin Rehus
You can check it with nodo-follow add-on as it highlighted the text with different colour for no-follow and do-follow blogs. You can also check it in the page source by right clicking on your home-page and clicking on page source and then search for no-follow and if it’s there then its no-follow otherwise it’s do-follow. You could use http://www.backlinkwatch.com/

I just checked my site | http://www.superheroalliance.net | and it has 219 backlinks. Same way you can check yours. How do you know if a forum has a no follow for backlinks / link building? SEO? link know forum follow building Backlinks.....................

Hope this helped

Suggestion by Paulo Jansen
Download the SEOmoz toolbar. A ‘show nofollows’ button then appears in your browser. Click it when on a page and all no follow links are highlighted. The toolbar has also a lot of other nice tools for internet marketeers.

Suggestion by geomark
Long way – right click>view source and look for the link to see if it contains the attribute rel=”nofollow”.

Better way – install Firebug in your Firefox browser then right click>inspect element on the link and you will be shown the source code for the link and look for the nofollow tag.

Color of a link has nothing to do with it’s properties, what lol nonsense. That is strictly a style feature and saw nothing about the markup.

What is the best way to check backlinks? check best Backlinks.....................

What is the best way to check backlinks?
I have just finished a huge campaign for my new site, and I am trying to find an effective way to check backlinks. Google Webmasters tools and Yahoo Site Explore give me COMPLETELY different answers. Which one is most reliable for SEO?

Suggestion by Aw Shut The Heck Up
They give you different answers because they are only reporting backlinks on their site

While checking the backlinks I have found Yahoo site Explorer is giving more accurate result than Google webmaster tools. Yahoo siteexplorer index the backlink more quickly than any other tool available online.

How to check how many backlinks my sites have?
I have a few sites and want to check how many backlinks they have. How to do it?and any advice to increase page rank of them? Thanks.

Suggestion by Charles
When starting a link building campaign (or continuing one), you want to be able to check your progress and see if you are indeed building any backlinks to your site. You want to be able to see if any of the links are “nofollow“, what anchor text is being used for the links, and what quality of site the links are on. Since I have gotten into link building, I have been steadily compiling a list of sites that allow you to check your backlinks. You may have heard of searching Google with “link: yourwebsite.com.” While this does work, it discourages many new (and even some experienced) webmasters because Google doesn’t include all of the links they have listed to your site. Sometimes, they don’t show any. Move beyond using this tool, and try out some of the websites below.

Not all of these sites are created equal, and I don’t think any of them can give you a definite 100% list of the amount of links that you have online pointing back to your site. That being said, some are definitely better than others. I am going to give you a summary of each one. Try them all out, and find out which ones work best for your needs, and for your specific sites.

WARNING: Do not use all of the sites listed. This will be a waste of your time that could be used for building links. Instead, find the few that work best for your site, and don’t compare the stats between the sites. Instead, start a spreadsheet and weekly check and log the amount of backlinks listed on each of the resources, and compare the number to the amount listed on the SAME resource a week ago. That will give you a much better idea of your progress.

SEO Pro’s Link Checker–My Recommendation!

http://seopro.com.au/free-seo-tools/link-checker/

This is a very fantastic backlink checking service. Although it takes a little while (not too long) to populate the list of URL’s, this is one of the few tools in this whole list that actually shows the true pagerank of the pages your URL is on. It also tell you how many links are on that page, whether or not the link uses “nofollow”, the anchor text for the link. You also have the ability to check the number of backlinks for all of the pages on your site, or just the top domain. If you are going to just use one backlink checker, then use this one!

Suggestion by Stefanie
Go to yahoo.com and use the link: command.

For example: If your competitor’s site is http://competitorsite.com, you would go to yahoo.com and type link:http://competitorsite.com

Once you do that, you’ll be in the site explorer where you can check inbound links and total pages on a site.

Backlink Finder tool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Backlink Finder tool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!? tool Finder backlink

Backlink Finder tool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
First of all: I’m sorry if this is the wrong section, but I believe Search Engine Optimization is the best section for this topic.

I’ve created a small backlink tool which allows you to get about 145 extra backlinks to your site.
The tool uses a list of websites where you can manually submit an URL. For example http://whoisx.co.uk/yoursite.com

This page automaticly has a backlink to your website. When a search engine spider crawls that website, it will find the backlink.

The application uses a file called links.dat. You can manually add new links or remove unwanted links with any texteditor.

Backlink Finder is a free application and 100% malware & virus free. Please note there might be some minor remaining bugs.
It’s still v1.0

Why do i have no backlinks in Google?

Why do i have no backlinks in Google? google Backlinks.....................

Why do i have no backlinks in Google?
I spent like two monthes now trying to get backlinks .. and at the moment i have over 100 backlinks in yahoo … but why i have no backlinks in google ? do i have to do something speical .. i appreciate your answers.

Suggestion by Daniel Schwede
It does not matter if Google is not showing your backlinks. I recently had a customer with more than 6200+ backlinks in the Yahoo Site Explorer and only 10 backlinks in Google. Still we were ranking for a competitive keyword in Google on Rank #1. Just keep up the link building and do not worry about google not indexing your links.

Hope that helped you out.

Is link operator to find backlinks from google still active?
Is link operator which is used to find backlinks for a domain in google still acitve??If not which operator can i use to find backlinks for a domain??

Suggestion by kungfukenny
It still works but it’s very limited as to what it throws back at you.

Yahoo’s your best bet these days for checking backlinks, using the same link: command.

Why do i have no backlinks in Google? google Backlinks.....................

Why wouldn´t google index my backlinks?
Now this is for all SEO-experts:

I have a domain which is 10 months old now, but it won´t rank very well in google, which is not surprising.
But I have done a great (and exhausting) job in building backlinks, bought several programs that promised fast indexed backlinks, but now effect whatsoever.

Yahoo instead would rank my site at spot #8 on the first page and show 202 backlinks, google instead ranks me on page 11, sometimes me being happy, google places my site on page 6.

What can I do that google would accept my backlinks?
What can I do that google ranks me better?
What is the reason, my site would bounce up and down several times a day?

Thanks you guys!

Suggestion by gaurav
try using the Google webmasters tools and submit your url(s) to the google index manually..you can even try submitting the sitemap of your site in the webmaster tools account…this wold help i guess..and please let me know that how did you build those backlinks ? (it would be a gr8 help )..thanks Why do i have no backlinks in Google? google Backlinks..................... [email me at g.b13691 at gmail dot com]

Suggestion by Keith Fraley
When you say that you “rank” in these search engines I wonder what words you are using when you perform these tests. Are you searching for your brand terms? By brand I mean are you searching words that make up the name of you website? After 10 months of link building you should start to get in to the top 10 for your brand unless the brand terms are VERY competitive terms like “trial lawyer”. If you are searching for non-brand words then depending on the competitiveness of those words it might take more time to get ranking.

All links are not created the same. if you are putting links on sites that have pron or gambling then you are in bad neighborhoods and Google will keep you out of the search results of the good people.

What you must do is get the right kind of links on the right kind of sites. You must freshen or add content to your site on a regular basis. Refer to my source link for additional information about links. If you build links the wrong way – especially with a site that does not already have a reputation – you can make the process take longer.

Suggestion by Richard Woolsey
Hi Callum,

Thank you for asking this all important question. Everyone wants to know how to get Google to index website back links. My initial advice to you: Building QUALITY website back links is the key. There is nothing “fast” about it. And PLEASE refrain from mass back link development – it could do more damage than good.

All your website back links will work well and be indexed by Google if you take the time to surround your links with relevant content matching your keyword phrase(s).

For example, the content on this page is about website back links. As you can see, I have used that specific keyword phrase numerous times. In addition, I am also supplying you with useful content in the form of a Yahoo answer. Yahoo Answers is an authority website (another important strategy for back links placement).

As a 10-year Internet marketing and SEO expert, I know from experience that spending time trying to get back links from weak websites, or mass website back links is a bad decision. Do the work because work is what it takes. Google is really cracking down on weak website back links.

Hope this helps.

Here’s a freebie that I normally charge 20 bucks for – my Killer Keywords Instruction Manual. This will truly help you get going.

Is there any secret method to get quality edu backlink services?

Suggestion by falsi fiable
No university will back-link to you. Zero. Zip. End of story.
Back-linking is a total scam.

Suggestion by Dominic
If you are into Search engine optimization, then you should be very well aware of the fact that back links from edu domains has better link juice than normal backlinks. Google has always treated edu domains with high authority. Most of the edu domains are used by popular school, colleges, universities and education organizations. So Google believe that the content from those sites will be highly informative.

It is widely believed that one quality back link from a edu domain is better than getting 10 back links from various.com domains. It is not easy to get back links from edu sites. We cannot implement our traditional methods like link exchange. Not a single edu backlink service will be willing to exchange links with a commercial site. So we have to think out of the box and build links. One method which is highly used is blog commenting. But this method is highly over saturated and most of the edu blogs are already spammed with useless comments.

There is no meaning in getting a linkback from a edu page which has more than 10 outbound links [OBL]. So we have to think wisely and look out for other methods. Apart from blog commenting, another approach is to make use of guestbook feature in most of the college and university websites. Again they are a bit spammed so the link juice value will be less.

So with both the traditional and new techniques being over used, we have to go for another mechanism called profile creation. Most of the edu website out there will have a high pr and that adds to value. Those college and university websites offer profiles being created for professors, students, alumni, etc. We can make use of this facility and create profiles with a anchored hyperlink to our site.
